How Snatchback protects you

No website can switch off a stolen phone — only Apple and Google can. Apple and Google look for the phone. Snatchback shuts the thief's routes to your money, your friends and your identity — and gets round the trap where your login codes go to the stolen phone.

1. Warns your people

Your emergency contacts get a text straight away, so nobody sends money to the thief. It includes a help link that turns them into your back-up (see below).

2. Gets you to your bank fast

One tap dials 159, the UK-wide bank fraud hotline (like 111, but for your bank). Your bank's fraud team freezes your cards, Apple Pay and banking apps on the call.

3. Blocks the phone

Your saved IMEI is on screen so your network can block the SIM and blacklist the phone.

4. Proves what happened

A timestamped evidence pack and copy-ready details for the police and your insurer.

Your contacts become your back-up

You might only have a borrowed phone for a couple of minutes. So the text your contacts get links to a simple checklist on their own phone. No app, no login. They can take jobs off your hands:

The text they get

SNATCHBACK SOS: Sam's phone was just reported STOLEN. Don't trust texts, calls or payment requests from their number. Help them now: snatchback.co.uk/help/…

Warn group chats

A ready-made warning they can send on WhatsApp in one tap.

Help block your SIM

Links for your network, so the thief stops getting your login codes.

Help with 159

One tap to call the bank fraud line with you.

Police details

Your phone's make, model and IMEI, ready for the report.

You can switch their access off any time. Practice drills never send texts.

Don't get your insurance claim rejected

Check your own policy, but most UK insurers ask for these, fast:

Network block, quickly

Many policies say the phone must be blocked by your network within 24 hours. That needs your IMEI — Snatchback keeps it ready.

A police crime reference

Copy your make, model, IMEI and serial into the police report in one tap.

Proof you acted fast

A timestamped record of when you raised the alarm and called 159.

Stop shoulder-surfers: ditch the 4-digit passcode

Switch your phone to a longer letters-and-numbers passcode, and turn on Stolen Device Protection (iPhone) or Theft Detection Lock (Android).

Questions

Can Snatchback lock my actual phone?

No — no website can. Use Apple Find My or Google Find My Device for that (we link to both). Snatchback locks everything around the phone: your bank cards, your SIM, and your friends and family.

What if the thief turns the phone off or uses Airplane Mode?

Doesn't matter. Snatchback runs online, so you use it from any borrowed phone whatever the thief does.

Will my insurance pay out?

That's down to your insurer and policy. Snatchback helps you have what they usually ask for: network block, police crime reference, proof of purchase and your IMEI.

Why is it free?

I just decided not to charge for it.
